It is a fact that screen use has an impact on family, social, and school life. It generates conflicts over the time and use children make of screens and, furthermore, is a source of concern due to the risks of falling into addiction or the fear of access to unwanted content and contacts.
In the videoconference “Re-Conéctate: Technology Addiction and Cyber Risks” we will attempt to shed light on all of this in order to promote the responsible use of new technologies among young people. We will do so from a dual perspective: from a psychological standpoint and from a cybersecurity standpoint. We will address issues such as:
- how to promote the responsible use of new technologies,
- recognizing symptoms that indicate it is time to seek professional help,
- aspects regarding the dangers hidden in the trending social network TikTok,
- what a “bomb” photo or video is on Instagram, or
- the dangerous trends currently occurring on social networks and in video games.
