Event Origin
Following certain statements made by users on Twitter, which questioned the usefulness or legitimacy of feminist talks or events, or those led by women, the organizers of #TotoConf have decided to launch this digital event to give greater visibility to the role of women in the professional technology sector, which has been predominantly and traditionally dominated by male figures.
The talks maintain a professional, serious, and technical tone. Despite these characteristics, the event is framed within a context of humor and irony, primarily motivated to help the sectors and users most critical of feminism understand that nothing and no one can stop equality and the value of women in society.
Event Tracks.
The event will consist of three tracks or, as the organization has called them in response to expressions like “feminist chiringuitos” (beach bars), “Chiringuitos.”

Selva Orejón as a speaker.
Selva Orejón, CEO of onBRANDING, will participate with her talk on “Stalking in Digital Gender-Based Violence: intolerable.” Her talk will be included within Chiringuito Femisoviet, from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM.
Stalking is a “new” type of harassment against women on the Internet. Victims often experience panic, fear, anguish, and anxiety, or may even feel deeply threatened.
This term is undoubtedly closely related to Digital Gender-Based Violence (VioGen), which an increasing number of women suffer due to the massive use of social media and devices.
Selva Orejón’s talk focuses on raising awareness about this type of violence that takes place on digital platforms, and helps to understand and learn about the existing tools to confront it, teaching how to prevent and report it, and how to act against the stalker or even abuser.

Donations.
The event has no sponsors and is non-profit. However, they wanted to implement a charitable aspect by requesting proposals via social media on where to focus donations.
Among the proposals received via Twitter, they selected the one formulated by Solidjobs, a non-profit association that helps people with disabilities, those at risk of exclusion, or those with technological knowledge limitations, to find employment.
They are based on a mobile application with a simple, accessible interface, which includes an artificial intelligence assistant to control options via voice.
Solidjobs’ objective is to achieve labor inclusion regardless of the candidate’s abilities.
