The first Spanish firm of analysts of
digital identity and online reputation protection

The internet is a great tool for humanity; it has made life easier and streamlined the flow of information. However, the advantages of the internet come with their respective disadvantages.

In our day-to-day work, we witness the suffering and confusion experienced by individuals and companies in certain situations that the anonymity provided by the internet has enabled: fake news, smear campaigns, attacks on privacy and honour, harassment, etc. With our know-how, we want to contribute, from onBRANDING, to a fairer, more transparent and more ethical digital society.

AREAS WE IMPACT
viogen
Digital gender-based violence:
understanding it and proving it
Collaboration with the Comprehensive Monitoring System in cases of Gender-Based Violence, under the Secretariat of State for Security of the Ministry of the Interior.
Understanding the environment in which gender-based violence on the internet takes place is not easy; that is why it is very important to have proper support and the backing of a team of professionals specialised in understanding and proving violence in digital environments.
How do we support victims of digital violence?
We work closely with State security forces, the judicial system, victims’ associations, and the Carl Rogers Institute. Our work spans several areas:

Digital protection and support for victims of gender-based violence.

Digital identity protection plan during and after the incident.

Cyber-investigation work to identify the technical identities of aggressors or groups of aggressors online.

Preventive training in protecting the digital identity of victims of crimes involving violence, hate, coercion, extortion and sextortion.

Victims should not feel alone—they are not. There are professionals from different public and private institutions who will always be there to support and accompany them.
If you are, have been, or are currently a victim of a possible offence involving harassment, stalking, coercion, extortion, fraud, identity theft, disclosure of secrets, unlawful access to communications… contact us—we can help you.

STOP harassment on social media
Every day, we receive different cases of cyberbullying. Many of them—most—take place through social media. We must say STOP, enough; together we have to put an end to these situations.
Harassment on social media, or cyberbullying, has spread in recent years as new forms of online harassment. We see it on platforms such as Twitter, where the most common are inflammatory comments from haters on Instagram, Twitter, F3, Snapchat, Facebook, Telegram and WhatsApp.

The harasser often aims to intimidate, make the victim feel unable to defend themselves, and instil fear and helplessness, loneliness, ridicule… They want to destroy the victim’s reputation, make it impossible to live a normal life, and create anxiety, as well as a constant sense of fear and of being unable to find a safe refuge because online harassment follows you wherever there is internet—wherever a message can reach you.

At onBRANDING, we have been handling cases of harassment on social media, stalking, extortion, for years, and above all we provide support to victims and their families throughout the legal process.

We will always be there: when the victim decides to put a STOP to the harassment they are suffering; when they need to start legal proceedings by filing a harassment complaint; when they need a psychologist specialising in cyberbullying, we will connect them with the outstanding team at the Carl Rogers Institute; or when they need lawyers, expert witnesses specialised in digital identity or computer forensics, psychological experts, criminal profilers, forensic linguists, cyber investigators—we will be here, always.

If someone is in a position to ask for help or to report, as well as to expand a report, or requires digital certification to document and prove what happened in order to know who is behind the harassment, we are here. on BULLYING we fight!

Removal of hate content online
A non-profit initiative promoted by onBRANDING to detect, report and manage the removal of hate content online.
Over these years of work in both the private and public sectors, at onBRANDING we have encountered many cases of antisemitic and anti-Zionist content. To address this, we set out to find methods and tools to improve information-gathering processes across media and networks, as well as the digital certification of content that must be reported to the Hate Crimes Prosecutor’s Office.

Search, detection and certification techniques, as well as removal, have been developed so that content can be taken down as quickly as possible.

Using the detection methodology, digital evidence is sought—such as sensitive documents, compromised email information, aliases on social media profiles, etc.—that enables reporting and subsequent removal online.

If you believe that you or your company are victims of hate crimes online, contact us and we will analyse your case.

Unsolved Cases
Unsolved cases. Unsolved crimes. Cases that remain the focus of media attention for weeks, months and even years, and yet the conclusion of the investigations never comes—and therefore peace does not come to the families of these victims of disappearance, homicide or other crimes either.
In Spain, there are more than a hundred unsolved cases involving identified persons or unknown individuals. In most cases, the lack of evidence has meant they can be considered almost perfect crimes. These cases keep State security forces on edge.

onBRANDING works closely with the judicial system and the different units of the judicial police—technological crimes, as well as unsolved homicides, disappearances or organised crime—to provide our technical and human resources so that these families can regain the peace they are currently unable to find.
