Victims on the Web, this is how we will title the TV3 report we are preparing.
Victims because, through action or omission, they have fallen into situations on the internet that must be endured and, above all, accompanied through the different consequences they entail.
Legal consequences, reputational consequences, and consequences in terms of response to security incidents.
At onbranding, we work from a triple perspective:
- Reputational, which begins with the Protection of the Digital Identity of commercial and personal brands
- Forensic psychology (testimony evaluation, veracity analysis, and forensic assessment of consequences for victims)
- Security, detection, response, and prevention of incidents
- Legal, evaluation and support in situations requiring legal counsel in technological criminal matters.
Our origin is in Corporate Communication, specialized in Corporate Crisis Management and Digital Hostility, but over the years we have evolved as the information society has evolved.
More and more users (domestic and professional) access social networks to have a commercial presence, for customer service, solely for branding purposes… Or for recreational purposes; in this evolution, we have specialized in the unfriendly side of social networks and the internet as an interpersonal communication network.
Experience shows us that not all people who have knowledge and means use it for good purposes. On occasions, and these give meaning to our daily work, the organizations and individuals we receive as professionals are experiencing serious problems on the web.
Our mission, therefore, is:
Prevent, Detect, and Respond to incidents on the Web, Protect and Safeguard the Identity of individuals and organizations on the web.
onbranding, therefore, is defined as a cyber intelligence and identity and reputation management consultancy on the web for Organizations, Professionals, and Citizens.
Our contribution to the report is divided into two main parts: testimonies from victims and professionals with whom we have direct relationships, either because they were the experiences of our own clients, or of the professionals we have relied on as a team to resolve them.
We wish to clarify that all victims appear of their own free will and advised by professionals, especially personal victims.
We have tried to capture in the most direct way the work cycle we encounter daily,
- Receipt of testimony and information
- Case assessment
- Positioning map and Objective setting
- Strategy development
- Actions and case monitoring
Likewise, we communicate that to be protected on the web, one of the first steps is to detect what already exists about the matter we wish to protect. Is there more INFORMATION than we would like to share? Do we truly project the image we desire? Do we fully and clearly know what information would be sensitive enough to provoke an attack?
The next free Training will take place in Madrid (June 15) and Barcelona (June 22)
