Have you been a victim of phishing or hacking via the “Reports+ Followers+” app Metricool Analyzer Plus for Instagram” on iPhone?
THIS APP DOES NOT ANALYZE FOLLOWERS; IT HACKS YOUR CREDENTIALS.
Users who download or use “Reports+ for Instagram” on iPhone are not aware that the app will not analyze their followers or provide statistics about their community; instead, it may hack their login credentials for their profile. This app has been classified by Instagram as fraudulent.
PROTECT YOUR ACCOUNT.
- All users who have an account in the app are being affected by phishing and by account hacking, and in some cases, disabling of the account.
- If you believe you used the same password on Instagram as on other social networks, iCloud, or your own email, change your Apple ID password immediately.
- Cybercriminals are using every means they can (fake emails, ads, text messages, even calls) to try to trick you into sharing your information, such as the password to your online assets, your Apple ID, or your credit card or phone number.
- To help protect your information, use two-factor authentication for your social networks, email accounts, and your Apple ID, and never share your Apple ID password or temporary verification codes with anyone.
THE DEVELOPER OF “REPORTS+ FOR INSTAGRAM” IS NOT TRUSTWORTHY
- For months, at onBRANDING we have been warning that the development and the developer of the iPhone app are not trustworthy. Like us, thousands of users have been reporting it and warning the community about the risk of being hacked or phished:
- The developer listed in the App Store is Mobilex.com.tr (a Turkish domain). When visiting its website, we found there is no information about the “Reports+ for Instagram” app.
- Its Twitter account has 0 followers and follows 0 users. Its Instagram profile follows the same pattern.
- Half of the website links are broken: Careers, Jobs, Press.
- Google Play, or the Play Store, has removed the app from its marketplace. At onBRANDING, we have asked Apple to remove it immediately to prevent more people from being hacked or phished through the app.
