A few days ago, users in Spain and on Facebook generally were concerned, as a rumor about photos and advertising on Facebook was circulating among us.
It was naturally assumed that this would remain a mere rumor, but it began to spread rapidly.
These rumors are false, and no changes have been made to Facebook’s advertising policies, yet posts and statuses were becoming more numerous each day…

The text read as follows: “FACEBOOK has agreed to let third-party advertisers use your submitted images without your permission. Ads violate our policies by misusing profile photos, and this already requires the removal of misleading ads from third-party applications.”

We are aware that no one at Facebook, internally, is so foolish as to jeopardize the user experience, and their utmost concern is to protect users from potential privacy issues.
