The Ministry of Interior has reported that during 2022, the State Security Forces recorded over 375,000 criminal offenses whose planning, development, and execution were decisively influenced by the use of technological tools, computer systems, and digital transmission methods, allowing them to be categorized under the heading of cybercrime.

Indeed, 1 in 5 crimes committed in Spain occur online. There has been a decrease in conventional criminality and a notable increase in cybercrimes.
