Experts consulted by Business Insider Spain, such as José Ignacio Carrillo, Head of Enforcement at Smart Protection, or Selva Orejón, CEO of onBRANDING, have explained what it’s like to deal with networks like these.

Specialists often agree that, unlike proprietary platforms such as Meta (Facebook) or Twitter, authorities usually encounter more difficulties in getting Telegram to comply with their requests and remove illegal content (piracy, terrorism). Germany has taken the debate a step further by proposing its prohibition.
