The Smart City Expo is underway, and this Thursday, November 16, 2017, the VII International Conference for Women Leading ICT, #womanlidertic 2017, will be held.

At Dones en Xarxa, we aim to celebrate the VII Conference for Women Leading ICT, continuing the path started in 2015. We intend to gather and showcase female talent, share our vision on ICT sector trends, and establish strategies for empowerment, such as the sixth decalogue approved during last year’s conference.

These sessions will take place during the week of the Smart City Expo in Barcelona, a time when the city is fully attuned to the opportunities provided by technology. This initiative aims to go a step further by highlighting the opportunities specifically generated for women, sharing this vision and these experiences, and using the conference to create a more social space that promotes the role of women and encourages them to seize these opportunities, overcome difficulties, and generate new possibilities. As the conference slogan aptly describes: WE SHARE KNOWLEDGE, WE GENERATE INNOVATION
