Last week, Onbranding attended the conference “Social Media: An Effective Space for Your Brand?” hosted by the MPG community. The event took place in the Great Hall of IE (Madrid Business School).
For the first time, the leading social media figures of the moment—MySpace, Tuenti, Facebook, and LinkedIn—came together at a single event. Each social network or platform presented:
– Matías Llort, Marketing Manager Spain for MySpace, presentation video [youtube=http://www .youtube.com=””]
– Ícaro Moyano, Communications Director for Tuenti, presentation video [youtube=http://www .youtube.com=””]
– José Mª Sanabria, General Director MPG Iberia, presentation video
– Diego Oliva, Commercial Director Southern Europe for Facebook
– Henry Clifford-Jones, Director of Media Sales Europe for LinkedIn
At the end of the presentations, a round table discussion began, featuring:
– Pilar Marqués, Deputy Director of New Channels and Online Communication for Repsol
– Cristina Martín, Managing Director of Elpais.com
– Javier Barrio, Head of Online Marketing and Doblecero for El Corte Inglés.

We wanted to share this event with you because we considered it key to the evolution of the brand sector and corporate communication in Spain.
Additionally, I want to offer the first presentation by Facebook executives in Spain, [youtube=http://www .youtube.com=””]
