Social media nomenclature (Brand + (España, _Es, Espana, Iberica…)). I would like to share a concern that is weighing heavily on me; for one of our clients, we need to register all their social media channels, ideally using the same nomenclature to maintain branding consistency and strengthen SEO.
The big issue is… Google handles the “Ñ” very poorly, and the same applies to the “Ñ” in domains… Some companies solve this with a Brand + España nomenclature and then use Brand + EspaNa in the URL… but I am not convinced…
We welcome any suggestions…
Doing it in English does not convince us either; using “Spain” for users is not ideal because search statistics are much lower… namechk does not even allow searches with the ñ….
