Warning: Changes in Google SERPs

Changes in Google SERPsOver the past two weeks, there have been many changes in Google SERPs, with significant volatility, as it appears that the rollout of a fairly major Google update is being prepared (it has been announced for more than a year).
How does it affect you?

In de-ranking work, there are and will be changes. It is important that your SEO manager, social media manager, and Community Manager—whether in-house or at an agency—inform you about this so you can continue working as a team.
Practical example:

  • For one of the results we are trying to de-rank, we managed to get it to position 10, almost onto the second page, and overnight it returned to position 5.

How should you proceed?

  • Continue working as you have been, without slowing down. This is how we managed to move it from position 1, but we must keep working to ensure it does not climb back up the rankings.
  • Continue sending links to the various blogs you want to rank (and that were ranking until this Google update).

Guarantees and warnings for newcomers to SEO

  • This is not an exact science. It is not possible to know exactly what has changed at Google, but as with any reputation campaign, the phases of starting the work, reactive action, and maintenance are carried out; however, these are subject to change depending on the modulation and reaction of public opinion, changes in Google SERPs, and any potential incidents detected.
  • No company, entity, or person outside Google controls Google SERPs; only the work to improve their rankings can be guaranteed. SERPs are Google’s own algorithms and are not manipulated or controlled with black SEO. Only white SEO techniques will be used.
